Dr. Lothyan loves working with kids! He strives to create a fun, professional environment and build positive, trusting relationships with children and parents alike. At every visit, he’ll partner with you to ensure your little surfer develops healthy habits for a lifetime. Also, fun fact: The Smile Surfers theme was inspired by his childhood family road trips to San Clemente Beach in Southern California in an orange VW bus.
Before he pursued pediatric dentistry, Dr. Lothyan earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Washington School of Dentistry (go Huskies!) and worked as a general dentist for a short time. Then, he completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Dr. Lothyan is a native of the Seattle area, and his greatest joys in life are his five children and wife of 20+ years. When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, where he loves to hike, camp, and fish. He also loves surfing and restored a vintage 1976 VW pop-up camper van for those quick surf getaway weekends!

Dr. Misa grew up east of the mountains in Spokane, Washington. After getting a taste of city life, she and her husband decided to return to the Pacific Northwest! Her goal as a pediatric dentist is to provide an enjoyable experience for your child and entire family! Dr. Misa truly believes that growing up with safe, fun dental experiences will benefit your little surfer for the rest of their life.
Dr. Misa received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. When she realized children’s dentistry was where she was meant to be, she decided to continue her education. Dr. Misa completed her specialty postgraduate training in pediatric dentistry and master’s in oral sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago!
In her spare time, Dr. Misa loves cooking, baking, and exploring the great outdoors!
