In 2016, while reminiscing on his own happy memories of childhood road trips to California beaches along the Pacific Coast Highway 101, Dr Jared was inspired to create Smile Surfers Kids Dentistry. With fun murals throughout the office of the beach, and even a real orange VW bus, like the one he travelled in, we’ve tried to make your little surfers trip to the dentist just as fun! Each operatory includes nods to some of Dr Jared’s favorite surf beaches, from Washington to California. Come see what Smile Surfers is all about!

At Smile Surfers, we know that confidence often begins with a great smile, which is why we’re dedicated to helping your little surfers learn all about their oral health! Through preventative treatment and education, our goal is to empower the next generation of cheerful, healthy, and smiley kiddos!
From the moment your child walks in the door at Smile Surfers, we do our best to create a dental experience that’s at their pace and level. So, what does this look like? Our dental team uses kid-friendly terms to explain important concepts about oral hygiene, nutrition, and overall wellness. This helps to make sure that your little surfer feels comfortable and well-prepared to implement the best practices and habits for their oral health. We also take the time to answer every question, from both parent and child. We absolutely love having conversations with kiddos and parents about anything, from their field trip at school to the best kind of toothpaste flavor (but who are we kidding, it’s watermelon)!
In striving to provide the very best care anywhere, we also make every effort to stay up to speed on all of the latest dental methods and research. We prioritize investing in the most advanced technology, boosting comfort, safety, and fun for your kiddo during their visit with us! Just as our office gets routinely updated, we also make sure to provide regular opportunities for our dental team to further develop their skills and passion for what they do!

Giving Back to the Community
Smile Surfers loves helping our community in need of dentistry even outside of the office. We do everything possible to give back to the community that so graciously allows us to spread our positive message. We do this by:
- Going to schools and preschools to do dental education presentations about the importance of taking care of teeth.
- Sponsor of the Dental Outreach Relief Foundation.
- Sponsor for community events, such as kid sports teams, local school fundraisers, and community races for a cause.
